Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police Anti Human Trafficking Unit conducted night raids during a week-long special drive. The teams apprehended six sex workers and eleven transgender persons. They also rescued six victims and arrested two accused in two PITA cases.
Officials said the drive formed part of intensified enforcement efforts. The objective was to curb human trafficking and related offences across Cyberabad limits.

Meanwhile, Cyberabad SHE Teams carried out 137 decoy operations during the same period. These operations caught 66 people red-handed while engaging in indecent acts at public places. The teams booked petty cases in 59 instances. They counselled the remaining individuals on the spot.
During the drive, the SHE Teams also received 23 complaints from women through various channels. The teams addressed each complaint as per procedure. At the same time, Family Counselling Centres and CDEW Centres intervened in domestic disputes. Through these efforts, officials reunited 22 families.
In addition, AHTU and SHE Teams focused on prevention and awareness. They organised awareness programmes at multiple locations in Cyberabad. A total of 7,229 people attended the sessions. The teams educated participants on human trafficking, child trafficking, eve teasing, and social media harassment.
They also covered child marriages, child rights, child labour, stalking, begging, cyber bullying, and cyber fraud. Further, the teams explained emergency services such as Women Helpline 181, Child Helpline 1098, Dial 100, and Crime Helpline 1930.
