Vivek Venkatswamy launches CC road works in Mandamarri

Mancherial: Labour, Employment and Mines Minister Dr. G. Vivek Venkatswamy on Thursday launched CC road works in Mandamarri town and took part in a Bhumi Puja ceremony marking the start of the project.

Along with the launch, the Minister participated in the ceremony with Mancherial district collector Kumar Deepak and other senior officials. The programme formally signalled the beginning of construction activities aimed at improving civic infrastructure in the town. Meanwhile, residents from nearby localities gathered at the site and welcomed the initiative.

Under the project, authorities will lay a new cement concrete road between Bhagat Singh Nagar and Sripathi Nagar. As a result, the road will improve internal connectivity within Mandamarri. Moreover, officials said the project would reduce travel difficulties faced by residents. It will also support smoother daily transportation across the town.

While addressing the gathering, Dr. Vivek Venkatswamy said Mandamarri had faced neglect of basic facilities for several years. In particular, he pointed out that roads and drainage systems remained poor for a long period. However, after his election from the Chennur Assembly constituency, development works began on priority.

According to the Minister, the government has already completed nearly 70 per cent of basic infrastructure projects in the area. At the same time, he said the remaining works were progressing at a steady pace. Therefore, the focus now remains on durable solutions rather than temporary repairs.

CC road works reflect state’s integrated development policy

Further, Dr. Vivek Venkatswamy said the Congress government remained committed to strengthening essential civic amenities across Telangana. Importantly, he clarified that the government did not limit development to urban centres alone. Instead, rural and semi-urban areas also received equal attention under the current policy.

Additionally, the Minister said the government followed an integrated and balanced development model. Through this approach, he explained, the administration aimed to ensure uniform growth across all regions. As a result, such planning would help reduce regional disparities and improve living standards statewide.

Meanwhile, district officials briefed the Minister on execution plans and timelines. They assured him that engineers would maintain quality standards during construction. Local leaders, therefore, expressed confidence that the new road would meet long-standing demands and improve daily commuting conditions in Mandamarri.
