Dr G Vivek Venkatswamy highlights Constitution’s vision at Republic Day celebrations

Hyderabad: Labour and Employment Minister Dr G Vivek Venkatswamy said India’s founding forefathers framed the Constitution as a guiding light for governance and national development.

After unfurling the National Flag at the 77th Republic Day celebrations at the Chennur camp office on Monday, he spoke about the vision behind the Constitution. He said Dr B R Ambedkar designed it with inclusiveness and future progress in mind. Even after 77 years, he added, Indians continue to live together in unity.

At the same time, Dr Vivek Venkatswamy said the present leadership was working with a similar forward-looking approach. He pointed to recent global engagements, including the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos. He expressed confidence that India could move towards a $3-trillion economy.

Meanwhile, the minister said poverty eradication was essential for social development. He recalled former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s slogan “Garibi Hatao” to underline the need for sustained efforts.

Republic Day celebrations underline focus on growth and welfare

According to Dr Vivek Venkatswamy, providing housing and employment opportunities for all remained the state government’s priority. Therefore, he said concrete measures were being taken to meet those goals.

He further said that faster economic growth was necessary for national progress. Hence, he urged citizens to work together with dedication to achieve greater success for the country.
