Hyderabad: AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge conducted a Telangana government progress review in New Delhi on Thursday, assessing the Congress administration’s performance over the past two years.
Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi attended the two-hour meeting. Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and his cabinet colleagues also joined the discussion. Leaders examined governance outcomes, recent electoral results and pending administrative issues.
After the meeting, TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud briefed the media. He said the Congress high command appreciated the State cabinet for its performance in the recent municipal elections. Moreover, he claimed that nearly 80 percent of people in Telangana were satisfied with the government.
Goud stated that Rahul Gandhi sought details about integrated schools and their rollout across the State. According to him, both Kharge and Rahul Gandhi listened to Ministers before offering guidance. He described the interaction as constructive and focused on governance delivery.
Key decisions from Telangana government progress review
Mahesh Kumar Goud said Kharge offered suggestions on future administrative procedures during the Telangana government progress review. He added that the process of filling nominated posts would begin in the first week of March.
The TPCC chief also said Kharge would speak with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and him within two to three days about the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections. However, he clarified that cabinet expansion did not come up for discussion.
