Hyderabad: Telangana RERA fined Jubilee Hills Cooperative House Building Society ₹18.5 lakh for promoting a housing project without approval. The fine was issued after a suo motu case based on a January 2025 complaint.
The complaint said the society advertised 1910 units and collected ₹5 lakh advances. It also alleged forced memberships and cash dealings.

RERA dismissed the society’s High Court plea argument. It found no evidence to penalise Verdant Builders. The fine must be paid in 30 days.
The regulator ordered a ban on bookings and advertisements until registration is complete. It also warned of stricter penalties under Section 63 if directions are ignored.
