NMBA Youth Rally Goa to mobilize youth
The rally will feature a mass pledge against substance abuse, conducted both online and offline. In addition, cultural programmes and performances will reinforce the campaign’s message. Authorities will felicitate active participants and partners while sharing key achievements of the Abhiyaan.
Students from schools and colleges, parents, self-help groups, volunteers, NGOs, spiritual organisations and police personnel are expected to join. Therefore, organisers aim to build strong community participation across age groups.
Launched on August 15, 2020, the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan initially covered 272 vulnerable districts. However, it now operates across all districts nationwide. The initiative focuses on awareness generation in educational institutions and at the community level.
So far, the campaign has sensitised more than 25.93 crore people, including over 9.35 crore youth and 6.38 crore women. Additionally, more than 16.15 lakh educational institutions have participated in outreach efforts.
The Department has also partnered with eight prominent spiritual organisations to strengthen awareness drives. Digital outreach through social media platforms and a dedicated website supports ongoing engagement.
Officials stated that the Goa rally aims to highlight progress, inspire youth participation and reinforce the national resolve to build a drug-free India.
