Hyderabad: Roads, Buildings and Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy urged builders to take an active role in accelerating Telangana infrastructure growth, noting that nearly ₹1 lakh crore worth of works are underway across the State.
He addressed the National Managing Committee and General Council Meeting 2025–26 of the Builders Association of India. During the event, he said the government has placed top priority on quality in road and building construction.
He stated that Telangana is moving forward under a Vision 2047 roadmap led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Infrastructure, he added, remains the backbone of economic development and long-term investment. Therefore, the government continues to scale up major projects.
The minister told builders that governments frame policies and allocate budgets. However, the construction sector executes projects on the ground. Roads ease travel, bridges reduce distances and public buildings improve access to essential services.
₹1 lakh crore works fuel Telangana infrastructure growth
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said strong infrastructure attracts investment and supports industrial expansion. Consequently, the government has undertaken large-scale works in the Roads and Buildings sector across Telangana.
He said ongoing projects include Hybrid Annuity Model schemes and expansion of National and State Highways. In addition, authorities are constructing flyovers and railway overbridges. Work on the Regional Ring Road is also progressing steadily.
He described the Regional Ring Road as a transformative project for the State. It will reduce traffic pressure around Hyderabad and open new development corridors in surrounding districts. As a result, it will strengthen economic connectivity and regional balance.
Finally, he urged builders to work closely with the government and become key stakeholders in driving Telangana infrastructure growth.
