Hyderabad: The countdown is on, and the State Election Commission wants no loose ends before the Telangana local body election. The Commission issued Saturday directions and asked collectors to move fast and document every step.
Enter reservations on T-Poll for wards, gram panchayats, MPTCs, and ZPTCs. Then verify those entries in the field, correct issues, and confirm uploads.
The voter lists are already on the portal. The Panchayat Raj Department finalized reservations and issued gazettes. Teams must add those particulars and align records across offices.
MDOs will manage ward uploads. RDOs will handle sarpanch data. ZP CEOs will update MPTC and ZPTC reservations. This split reduces duplication and speeds work.
Webcasting at sensitive centres and same-day tender schedule
Inspect nomination centres, arrange staff and materials, and mark sites as problematic, highly problematic, or most problematic. Accordingly, plan webcasting and propose the number of micro-observers to cover those locations.
Invite ballot paper printing tenders right away. Offset presses should submit sealed quotations by 2 p.m. on the 8th of this month. The Collectorate will open them at 3 p.m. the same day before ZP CEOs, DPOs, and other officials.
Publish documents and updates on the website. These steps keep the Telangana local body election orderly and transparent.
