Gandhinagar: Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation launched the induction programme for Batch 2025 at Gujarat National Law University on April 6.
This phase marks the National Law University (NLU) segment of training for Direct Recruit Enforcement Officers and Accounts Officers.
EPFO EO AO training focuses on legal and institutional knowledge
The programme was inaugurated by Kumar Rohit, Director of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya National Academy of Social Security.
He emphasised the need for strong legal understanding and institutional awareness. Moreover, he encouraged officers to align their responsibilities with national priorities such as Ease of Living and Ease of Doing Business.
In addition, Girish R. highlighted the importance of constitutional values and the rule of law in governance.

The programme covers key subjects such as the Employees’ Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952, compliance frameworks, and enforcement practices.
Furthermore, Hardik H. Parikh stressed the importance of rigorous preparation and conceptual clarity.
Meanwhile, Manoranjan Kumar noted that enforcement roles now focus more on facilitation, trust, and partnership rather than inspection alone.
Nationwide participation strengthens EPFO training programme
Officers from across India are participating in the induction programme, reflecting its national scope.
Additionally, interactive sessions allow trainees to engage with experts and gain practical insights.
The programme is part of a structured five-phase training model for officers selected through Union Public Service Commission.

Established in 1990, PDUNASS serves as the apex training institution under the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
It focuses on capacity building, research, and training in social security.
Overall, the programme aims to equip officers with essential skills for effective public service delivery.
