Kodad bus collision injures 16 passengers on NH 65

Hyderabad: A Kodad bus collision left 16 passengers injured after a private travel bus rammed a truck from behind on National Highway 65 early on Saturday.

The accident occurred on the Kodad bypass in Suryapet district. The bus was travelling from Hyderabad to Eluru in Andhra Pradesh with about 36 passengers on board. Soon after the crash, local residents rushed to the spot and began rescue efforts.

They shifted the injured passengers to the Government General Hospital in Kodad for treatment. Officials have not yet released the identities of the victims. However, all injured passengers received medical attention at the hospital.

Kodad bus collision disrupts Hyderabad-Eluru route

Preliminary reports suggested that the driver lost control before the collision. Some accounts indicated that the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel. However, officials have not confirmed the exact cause of the accident.

The crash took place on NH 65, a busy highway connecting Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. As a result, the incident disrupted travel along the route for some time.

Authorities are expected to conduct a detailed investigation into the Kodad bus collision. Meanwhile, local residents played a crucial role in assisting victims immediately after the accident.
