Gas cylinder raids trigger statewide enforcement
The government stepped up monitoring following directions from A. Revanth Reddy and Uttam Kumar Reddy. Therefore, officials maintained close surveillance on supply chains and distribution networks.
Teams reviewed daily booking data and delivery status through command control systems. In addition, they coordinated with multiple agencies to ensure timely supply to domestic consumers and prevent shortages.
Officials said the primary aim was to avoid inconvenience to households. At the same time, they issued strict warnings against misuse of subsidised LPG cylinders meant for domestic use.
The department also urged citizens to report violations such as illegal storage, black marketing, and delivery delays. It advised the public to use the toll-free helpline 1967 to lodge complaints and assist enforcement teams.
Authorities confirmed that the ongoing crackdown will continue in the coming weeks. They said such measures are essential to ensure fair distribution, prevent hoarding, and maintain transparency in the LPG supply system.
