Ananthagiri Eco Park opens to boost tourism and jobs

Hyderabad: Ananthagiri Eco Park was inaugurated by Telangana Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar in Vikarabad, aiming to boost tourism and create jobs near Hyderabad.

He said the Ananthagiri Eco Park would develop into a major eco-tourism hub. The Speaker cited its scenic setting and proximity to Hyderabad as key advantages. He also assured full government support for its growth.

The event was attended by Municipal Chairperson Gaddam Ananya and senior forest officials. These included PCCF Suvarna, Forest Development Corporation MD Sunitha Bhagavat and CCF Priyanka Varghese.

Moreover, Gaddam Prasad Kumar said such projects would generate employment for local youth. He also called for construction of more cottages to meet rising visitor demand.

Ananthagiri Eco Park features and expansion plans detailed

Spread across about 3,600 acres, the forest area includes grasslands, rocky terrain and dense greenery. It also contains medicinal plants and diverse natural features for visitors.

Officials said the Ananthagiri Eco Park now includes gazebos and a watch tower. In addition, the “Chatri Sunrise View Point” offers wide views of forests, lakes and nearby villages.

The Speaker also visited the origin point of the Musi River. He launched beautification works and directed officials to develop the basin area further.

Furthermore, officials announced plans for adventure activities such as zipline and zip cycling. They also opened four new cottages and said more amenities would be added soon.
