SIR help desk launched at Telangana High Court for voter mapping

Hyderabad: Officials launched the SIR help desk at the Telangana High Court to facilitate voter mapping and improve access to election-related services.

The initiative followed directions from Commissioner and District Election Officer R. V. Karnan. Authorities said similar facilities would be established across multiple stakeholder locations in the coming days.

Additional Commissioner (Elections) K. Chandrakala and Electoral Registration Officer Sarita inaugurated the SIR help desk under the Special Intensive Revision programme. The facility was designed to simplify voter-related processes.

Officials said the help desk would assist advocates in mapping their voter details efficiently. Moreover, the initiative aimed to streamline electoral services and reduce procedural delays.

Outreach expands through SIR help desk initiative

The Hyderabad High Court Bar Association, led by president S. Surender Reddy, extended support to the programme. Members of the association also participated in the launch event.

Authorities said they planned to expand such help desks across GHMC limits. These would be set up at residential welfare associations, employee organisations, and community development centres.

Therefore, the initiative aimed to ensure wider access to voter services and improve public participation in the electoral process.
