Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday rejected BJP exit rumours and denied reports claiming that he planned to float a separate political party.
Addressing the media at the BJP state headquarters in Hyderabad, Bandi Sanjay said he would remain loyal to the BJP throughout his political career.
“If you ask any committed BJP activist about their last wish, they would say they want the saffron flag draped over their mortal remains. That is my wish too,” he said.
He also dismissed speculation over his alleged removal from the Union Cabinet. Moreover, he accused BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao of running a false campaign against him.
According to the Union Minister, select television channels and digital platforms spread fabricated stories at the direction of BRS leaders. He further alleged that political opponents became frustrated after the BJP played a role in ending the decade-long BRS government in Telangana.
BJP exit rumours trigger political allegations
Bandi Sanjay claimed that some leaders were trying to damage his political image through misinformation campaigns. Therefore, he accused political opponents of attempting to target him unfairly.
He also alleged that certain leaders wanted him arrested because he questioned the “corruption and feudal politics” of the previous BRS government.
Furthermore, Bandi Sanjay said he would continue exposing issues linked to the earlier administration. He maintained that the BJP remained committed to strengthening its presence across Telangana.
BJP MLA Rakesh Reddy, MLC Anji Reddy and party spokesperson N. V. Subhash attended the media interaction.
