Harish Rao attacks Congress over ambulance service failures

Hyderabad: Ambulance service failures in Tandur and Bhadrachalam prompted BRS senior leader T. Harish Rao to attack the Congress government over the condition of emergency healthcare services in Telangana.

Harish Rao alleged that public healthcare systems had collapsed under the present administration. He said recent incidents exposed serious gaps in emergency medical support for poor families.

According to Harish Rao, a pregnant woman delivered a baby on a railway platform in Tandur after 108 ambulance services allegedly failed to respond despite repeated calls.

He also referred to an incident in Bhadrachalam where a poor family reportedly carried the body of a relative on their shoulders because hospital authorities failed to provide a hearse vehicle.

The former minister said poor families were not receiving even basic emergency support during childbirth, illness and death. He alleged that vulnerable people who depended on government healthcare were suffering because of administrative failures.

Ambulance service failures draw demand for accountability

Harish Rao questioned the condition of 108 ambulance services and hearse vehicle facilities introduced during the previous K. Chandrashekar Rao government.

He said those services were designed to support poor and vulnerable families during emergencies across Telangana.

The BRS leader demanded immediate restoration and strengthening of ambulance and hearse vehicle services statewide. He also sought accountability from the government over the alleged breakdown of emergency healthcare systems.

Harish Rao said people of Telangana deserved dignity during emergencies, medical treatment and even after death.
