New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended Telangana Statehood Day greetings to the people of the state on Tuesday and reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to supporting Telangana’s growth and development.
In a message shared on X, the Prime Minister praised the people of Telangana for their spirit of innovation and enterprise. He also highlighted the state’s rich cultural heritage and its history of courage and determination.
Modi said Telangana has earned recognition for its dynamic people and strong contribution to national development. He noted that the state continues to play an important role in India’s economic and social progress.
The Prime Minister conveyed his best wishes to the people on the occasion of the state’s formation anniversary. He also prayed for their good health, prosperity and continued success.
His message came as Telangana marked another year since its formation on June 2, 2014, following the bifurcation of the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh.
Telangana Statehood Day linked to Viksit Bharat vision
In his message, Modi said the Central Government remains committed to supporting Telangana’s development journey. He added that the state’s progress would contribute significantly to the national goal of building a Viksit Bharat.
The Prime Minister said Telangana’s achievements reflect the determination and aspirations of its people. He expressed confidence that the state would continue advancing across sectors and create new opportunities for future generations.
Modi also underlined the importance of cooperation between the Centre and the state in achieving long-term development objectives. According to him, Telangana’s growth trajectory aligns with India’s broader vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
Statehood Day celebrations took place across Telangana with official events, cultural programmes and tributes to those who played a role in the Telangana movement.
