Bullet train corridors to transform Telangana, says Kishan Reddy

Hyderabad: Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy said three proposed Bullet train corridors connecting Hyderabad with Mumbai-Goa, Bengaluru and Chennai would transform Telangana’s development. He made the announcement while inaugurating and laying foundation stones for road projects in Kandukur Mandal of Rangareddy district.

The minister said the Centre was investing Rs.87 crore in road connectivity works in the region. He also participated in the Silver Jubilee Brahmotsavams of the Sri Rama Temple at Thimmapur, his native village.

Kishan Reddy said survey work for the proposed high-speed rail links was progressing rapidly. He added that authorities would prepare Detailed Project Reports for the corridors soon.

According to the Union Minister, the total cost of the projects could reach Rs.10 lakh crore, including land acquisition expenses. He said the rail network would significantly improve connectivity and support economic growth.

Bullet train corridors expected to accelerate development

Kishan Reddy also highlighted progress on the Regional Ring Road project. He said land acquisition for the northern section was moving ahead at a fast pace.

The minister estimated the investment for the northern stretch at between Rs.20,000 crore and Rs.25,000 crore. Furthermore, he said the project would improve connectivity around Hyderabad and support future expansion.

He noted that better roads, reliable power supply and improved drinking water facilities would speed up development in surrounding areas. As a result, several rural regions around Hyderabad could emerge as thriving urban centres.

The Union Minister said major infrastructure projects would strengthen Telangana’s economy and create new opportunities for growth in the coming years.
