Warangal: More than 1,000 youth from Telangana secured employment offers at Kaushal Mahotsav held in Warangal. The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship organised the event with the Telangana government and the National Skill Development Corporation at Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science.
The Kaushal Mahotsav attracted over 4,500 registrations from Warangal and nearby districts. More than 2,200 candidates attended on-site interviews, while over 90 employers offered jobs across manufacturing, automotive, healthcare, IT, logistics, textiles, retail, hospitality and banking.
Officials said employers would continue evaluating applications after the event. They will contact eligible candidates directly for the remaining stages of recruitment.
Industry participation strengthens employment opportunities
Candidates from different educational backgrounds participated in the recruitment drive. School pass-outs, ITI graduates, diploma holders, graduates and skilled professionals attended the event.
V. S. Arvind, Director, MSDE, said more than 1,000 candidates had already received job offers. He added that employers would continue the recruitment process after the event.
Several leading companies participated in the drive. Telangana Overseas Manpower Company Limited also joined as a recruitment partner and offered more than 200 overseas employment opportunities.
Besides recruitment, the event promoted apprenticeship programmes and government skilling schemes. Participants received guidance on PMKVY, the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme, Skill India Digital and other initiatives that improve employability.
The ministry said Kaushal Mahotsav has become a key employment-linked initiative. It connects skilled youth with industry and supports the government’s vision of building a skilled and globally competitive workforce under Viksit Bharat @2047.
