Telangana drug overdose case: Two youths found dead in Chandrayangutta

Hyderabad: Police began probing a Telangana drug overdose case after two youths were found dead in an auto at Chandrayangutta on Wednesday. Locals noticed the bodies near Roman Hotel and immediately alerted the police.

Officers reached the spot and identified the victims as Jahangir, 24, and Irfan, 25, from Pisalbanda in the Pahadisharif area. They believe the two died after consuming strong doses of drugs. The police later shifted the bodies to Osmania Hospital for post-mortem.

Investigators recovered three syringes from the auto. They also learned that a third person ran from the spot before residents approached the vehicle. Because of this, the police started checking CCTV cameras near the flyover and nearby lanes to track his route.

Hunt continues for suspect in Telangana drug overdose case

The team widened the Telangana drug overdose inquiry by scanning footage from several locations. As a result, officers are building a clear timeline of the victims’ movements. They are also verifying who met them on Tuesday night.
