Shabbir Ali launches Census 2027 self-enumeration drive in Telangana

Hyderabad: Government Adviser Mohammed Ali Shabbir led a Census 2027 self-enumeration awareness drive in Kamareddy and urged citizens to participate in the digital process.

He attended an orientation session for media representatives at the Collectorate on April 26. The Directorate of Census Operations, Telangana, organised the programme to explain the new system. The Additional Collector chaired the session.

During the event, officials explained the caste-based enumeration process and its importance. They outlined how the digital system would improve data accuracy and accessibility.

Shabbir Ali completed his Census 2027 self-enumeration during the programme. As a result, he became the first individual in the district to register through the digital platform.

Addressing the media, he said the census remained vital for national development. He added that accurate data would help the government design effective welfare schemes.

Shabbir Ali urged people to take part in the process without hesitation. He asked citizens to avoid misconceptions and submit correct information. He said the exercise would ensure benefits reach the intended sections.

He also highlighted the importance of caste enumeration. He said it would reflect the real conditions of different communities. Therefore, it would support decisions that promote equal opportunities.

Calling it a shared responsibility, he said every family should complete the process. He added that the digital system remained simple and transparent for users.

Officials at the session reinforced the need for awareness campaigns. They said public participation would determine the success of the exercise.

Additional Collector Madhu Mohan, Municipal Chairperson Ippa Uma Rani and several local leaders attended the programme. District officials, media representatives and department staff also took part in the session.
