Congress rule Centre possible, says TPCC chief Mahesh Goud

Hyderabad: TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud said Congress rule Centre would return, expressing confidence that the party would regain power in upcoming national elections.

He addressed the media on Wednesday and accused the BJP of dividing the country along caste and religious lines. Moreover, he said such politics created unrest and weakened social unity across the nation.

Mahesh Kumar Goud backed Rahul Gandhi and said people were increasingly looking towards Congress leadership. He added that the party offered an alternative vision focused on unity and inclusive governance. Therefore, he expressed confidence in the party’s prospects at the national level.

He also said that political conditions favoured a shift in power. According to him, public dissatisfaction with current policies could influence electoral outcomes. At the same time, he reiterated that Congress would continue to raise key issues affecting citizens.

Congress rule Centre claim targets BJP governance

Mahesh Kumar Goud said the Congress rule Centre remained achievable whenever elections were held. He stressed that sustained public support would determine the outcome. Moreover, he said the party aimed to unite people across communities.

He criticised the BJP’s approach and alleged that it weakened social harmony. However, he maintained that Congress would focus on inclusive development and balanced governance.

The TPCC chief also targeted former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. He alleged that the BRS leader failed to respond to questions raised by his daughter K. Kavitha. He added that opposition leaders must address public concerns transparently.

Mahesh Kumar Goud reiterated that Congress would continue highlighting governance issues. Meanwhile, he said the party remained committed to presenting a national alternative.

He concluded that political change depended on consistent engagement with people. He added that Congress would strengthen its outreach to build wider support across the country.
