Hyderabad: Jaipur Express fire broke out in two coaches of the Hyderabad-Jaipur Express at Nampally railway station on Friday evening. Railway officials said the incident occurred before the train departed from the platform.
The fire erupted in the B1 and B2 coaches at around 6.20 pm. The train was scheduled to leave the station at 7.30 pm. Officials noticed smoke emerging from the bogies and immediately alerted the Fire Department and HYDRAA control room.
Emergency response teams rushed to the station soon after receiving the alert. HYDRAA Disaster Response Force personnel joined firefighters in the rescue operation.

Fire Department teams and HYDRAA personnel managed to control the blaze before it spread to other coaches. Officials confirmed that no passengers were inside the affected bogies when the incident occurred.
As a result, no injuries or casualties were reported in the Jaipur Express fire. Railway authorities later secured the affected area and began preliminary inspections at the station.
Officials said the quick response from emergency teams helped prevent major damage and ensured passenger safety at the railway station.
Railway authorities are expected to conduct a detailed inquiry to determine the exact cause of the fire. Officials will also inspect the damaged coaches and review safety measures before further operations.
The incident caused concern among passengers and railway staff at the station for a brief period. However, officials restored normal conditions after bringing the fire under control.
Authorities have not yet announced whether the incident affected the train’s scheduled departure or other railway services at Nampally station.
