KTR condemns Gangula camp office attack in Karimnagar

Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao condemned the alleged Gangula attack in Karimnagar on Thursday and accused BJP activists of vandalising the camp office of MLA Gangula Kamalakar and vehicles linked to MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy.

In a post on X, KTR claimed that followers of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar entered the premises and damaged office property and parked vehicles. He criticised the police for allegedly remaining silent during the incident.

KTR also accused Bandi Sanjay of functioning as the “B-team” of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. He said the attacks happened because the BJP could not answer questions raised by BRS leaders.

The BRS leader stated that it was unacceptable for a Union Minister of State for Home Affairs to behave in a way that weakened law and order. He further described the incident as a mockery of democracy and demanded accountability from the authorities.

Harish Rao seeks action over Gangula attack

Senior BRS leader Harish Rao also condemned the alleged incident and questioned the law-and-order situation in Telangana. He said such incidents were unfortunate in a constituency represented by a Union Minister of State for Home Affairs.

Harish Rao demanded immediate action against those responsible for the Gangula attack. He also urged the State government to protect elected representatives and political party offices.

Moreover, he warned that people would be forced to come onto the streets to defend democracy if such incidents continued. Meanwhile, the alleged attack triggered fresh political criticism between the BRS and BJP in Karimnagar.

Both leaders accused the ruling establishment of failing to prevent violence in the district.
