Hyderabad: BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao announced the KTR statewide padayatra 2027, saying the party would strengthen grassroots connect ahead of the next elections.
He made the announcement while speaking to the media in Mancherial district on Sunday. The KTR statewide padayatra 2027 will focus on public issues and direct engagement with people across Telangana. He said the initiative would help rebuild the party organisation.
At the same time, KTR ruled out alliances and said the party would contest elections independently. He stated that past alliances did not yield results. He also rejected any tie-up with the BJP and expressed confidence in a solo comeback.
KTR statewide padayatra 2027 to guide electoral strategy
On delimitation, KTR said an increase in Assembly and Parliamentary seats could create opportunities. However, he added that proportional representation must remain unchanged. He said uniform seat expansion across states would not raise concerns.
He stressed that winnability would remain the key factor in ticket allocation. The party will select candidates based on electoral strength. He added that leadership changes in the Godavari belt could improve prospects.
KTR acknowledged shortcomings during the previous BRS government. He said coordination with grassroots leaders, including cadre and local representatives, had weakened. He also admitted that the government failed to frame a comprehensive Gulf policy despite migration from north Telangana.
Meanwhile, KTR criticised the Congress government led by A. Revanth Reddy. He alleged delays in implementing welfare schemes such as Rythu Bandhu and farm loan waivers. He also pointed to pending fee reimbursements affecting students.
He claimed that public confidence in the government was declining. Despite this, he said the party would stage a strong comeback through the KTR statewide padayatra 2027.
