New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi honoured the 9/11 victims on the 25th anniversary of the attacks and expressed solidarity with their families.
In a post on X, Modi said the attacks had changed the lives of many families forever. He also remembered those who lost their lives in the horrific attacks.
The Prime Minister said terrorism had claimed countless lives across the world. He also highlighted India’s long experience with cross-border terrorism.
Modi said India had remained at the forefront of the fight against terrorism for several decades. He stressed that the country continued to oppose terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
He added that the threat of terrorism continued to evolve. However, he said India’s resolve to combat terrorism remained unwavering.
The Prime Minister also expressed solidarity with global efforts to fight terrorism. His remarks came as the world marked 25 years since the September 11 attacks in the United States.
9/11 victims remembered as terror threat evolves
Modi also shared glimpses from his visit to the 9/11 Memorial & Museum in 2014. The visit was recalled alongside his message marking the anniversary.
The Prime Minister said the 9/11 victims and their families remained central to the remembrance of the attacks. He also reiterated support for efforts aimed at combating terrorism.
India has faced cross-border terrorism for several decades, Modi said. He linked that experience to the country’s continued opposition to terrorism.
