Shastripuram ROB inaugurated by Sridhar Babu in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Minister Sridhar Babu inaugurated the Shastripuram ROB on Friday, marking a major addition to Hyderabad’s road infrastructure aimed at easing congestion.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation constructed the bridge at a cost of ₹71 crore. It spans 490 metres and includes a four-lane carriageway to improve traffic flow.

Officials carried out the project in coordination with South Central Railway. The structure connects Mailardevpally to Falaknuma through the RTC Bus Depot stretch.

Moreover, the new facility is expected to decongest the busy Uddamgadda railway level crossing. As a result, commuters will experience smoother movement along this corridor.

Shastripuram ROB to cut travel time and boost connectivity

Officials said the project would improve connectivity between Mailardevpally, Vattepally, Falaknuma and nearby areas. In addition, they stated that travel time could reduce by nearly 30 minutes.

They added that the development would lower fuel consumption and help cut air pollution. Furthermore, the four-lane design ensures better traffic management on the route.

Engineers built the structure with a 37.28-metre railway span and a 16.60-metre-wide deck. They used steel girders, RCC structures and modern bearings to ensure durability and safety.

Authorities said the facility was now open to the public. They added that it would support faster and safer commuting in the southern parts of the city.
