Chief Minister Revanth Reddy vow to block KCR family from power

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday declared a firm Revanth Reddy vow that he would never allow K Chandrashekar Rao or his family to return to power while he remained in politics.

Addressing a sarpanches felicitation programme at Kosgi in Narayanpet district, the Chief Minister launched a sharp attack on the BRS leadership. According to him, Telangana had moved ahead while KCR and his party had become part of the past.

He said KCR continued to make irresponsible statements and indulge in baseless criticism. However, CM Revanth Reddy stated that he earlier chose restraint despite personal attacks, as vendetta politics would damage the State.

Referring to KCR’s lifestyle, the Chief Minister said the former leader remained confined to his farmhouse under police security. In contrast, he said such isolation reflected political irrelevance rather than authority.

Meanwhile, CM Revanth Reddy traced his own rise from grassroots politics to the Chief Minister’s post. He said his journey reflected public confidence, not inherited power or family dominance.

Looking ahead, he predicted a decisive Congress victory in the 2029 Assembly elections. He said the party would win over 80 seats in a 119-member House and cross 100 seats if constituencies increased to 153.

CM Revanth Reddy vow reiterated at Kosgi meeting

CM Revanth Reddy vow was reiterated as he challenged KCR, KTR and Harish Rao to note his words. He described it as a public commitment made from Telangana soil.

At the same time, he cited recent electoral outcomes to underline Congress strength. He said the party defeated BRS in Assembly, Parliament and local body elections.

In particular, he claimed Congress-backed candidates won 8,335 sarpanch posts out of 12,726 panchayats. As a result, he argued that repeated defeats had weakened BRS across Telangana.

Turning to the Assembly, CM Revanth Reddy invited KCR to attend the upcoming session starting on the 29th of this month. He said the government was ready to debate any issue raised by the former Chief Minister.

Instead of press conferences, he said, discussions should take place on the Assembly floor. According to him, only legislative debate allowed public scrutiny.

Concluding his remarks, CM Revanth Reddy asserted that Telangana’s future belonged to the Congress. He added that past political dominance would not shape the State’s direction anymore.
