Pension Adalat resolves 815 long-pending pension grievances

New Delhi: The 15th Pension Adalat resolved 815 long-pending Pension Adalat grievances on the spot, providing relief to super senior and family pensioners across multiple Central government departments.

Authorities conducted the Pension Adalat at the Indian Institute of Public Administration in New Delhi on December 24, 2025. Rachana Shah, Secretary of the Department of Personnel and Training, DARPG and the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare, chaired the proceedings.

The forum took up 1,087 grievances linked to 30 Ministries and Departments. These included Defence, Home Affairs, Finance, Posts, Housing and Urban Affairs, and Civil Aviation. Officials said the disposal rate reflected the effectiveness of the grievance redressal mechanism.

A follow-up meeting on January 16, 2026 reviewed unresolved cases. After this review, officials recorded several successful resolutions, highlighting the Pension Adalat’s role in restoring financial security and dignity to pensioners.
