Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) strongly condemned what it described as a political vendetta against KCR, accusing the Revanth Reddy government of targeting the former chief minister for political gain.
In a statement, BRS leaders said any move against KCR amounted to an attack on Telangana’s self-respect. They said KCR fulfilled the long-standing dream of statehood. Moreover, they said he led Telangana for a decade and placed it among the country’s leading states.
The party said attempts to defame KCR reflected frustration and administrative failure. According to the statement, efforts to tarnish his image would not succeed. Instead, they would only expose the government’s insecurity.
Meanwhile, the BRS alleged that the government issued SIT notices as part of cheap political tactics. It claimed the move aimed to divert attention from Singareni coal scam allegations. Additionally, it said the government wanted to deflect public anger over governance failures.
BRS alleges political vendetta against KCR through SIT action
The party said the government believed political harassment would bring gains in municipal elections. However, it described this thinking as political bankruptcy and desperation.
Drawing a contrast, the BRS said KCR created history, while Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was trying to erase it. It warned that power was temporary. Arrogance, it added, was even more short-lived.
Finally, the party said Telangana society stood firmly with KCR. It added that workers would not fear political pressure. It said people would give a fitting response at the appropriate time.
