Gold price rises by ₹3,950 in a week, silver gains ₹5,598

Hyderabad: silver and gold price recorded a steady rise this week, according to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA).

On August 30, gold was priced at ₹1,02,388 per 10 grams. By September 6, it had climbed to ₹1,06,338, a gain of ₹3,950. Silver prices also increased by ₹5,598 during the same period, moving from ₹1,17,572 per kg to ₹1,23,170.

In Hyderabad, the 24-carat gold was quoted at ₹1,07,630 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stood at ₹98,660.

Yearly surge sees gold price jump 40% and silver 43%

So far this year, gold has gained ₹30,176, or 40%. On December 31, 2024, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold stood at ₹76,162. It now trades at ₹1,06,338. Silver has risen by ₹37,153, or 43%, from ₹86,017 per kg at the end of last year to ₹1,23,170.

Traders said the rising global bullion trend and strong investment demand have kept prices firm, with investors watching central bank policies and currency movements closely.
