Microsoft said traffic through the Middle East was hardest hit. Engineers are diverting traffic through alternate routes, but speeds remain below normal.

The cause of the cable damage is still unknown. Experts pointed to past cases involving anchors or sabotage. Regional tensions raised questions, but Houthis denied any role.

Repairs are expected to take weeks, prolonging the slowdown. Businesses and online services continue to suffer financial losses.
