Ex-TASA SHAKTI dialogue boosts military civil security coordination

Hyderabad: The Indian Army organised the Ex-TASA SHAKTI dialogue at Secunderabad Military Station to strengthen coordination between military and civil security agencies.

The headquarters of the Telangana and Andhra Sub Area conducted the multi-agency meeting on Tuesday. The initiative aimed to enhance Military–Civil Fusion and improve inter-agency coordination. As a result, senior officials from defence and civil institutions attended the session.

Representatives from the Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, Telangana State Police and Central Reserve Police Force participated in the meeting. Officials from the Central Industrial Security Force and the National Security Guard also joined the discussions. In addition, representatives from Indian Railways, Railway Protection Force and Government Railway Police took part.

Scientists from the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research and the National Geophysical Research Institute attended the event. Civil administration officials from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh were also present.

The dialogue focused on emerging security challenges and evolving disaster management strategies. Participants exchanged operational insights and reviewed mechanisms to improve preparedness during emergencies.

Major General Ajay Misra, General Officer Commanding of the Telangana and Andhra Sub Area, addressed the gathering during the programme. He said modern security threats demand close cooperation among multiple agencies.

“The complexities of modern security threats require a coordinated response from all stakeholders. This dialogue is a step in that direction,” he said.

Officials noted that such joint discussions strengthen institutional coordination during crises. Moreover, regular interaction helps agencies respond swiftly to security incidents and disaster situations.

Authorities stated that the successful conduct of the initiative marked a significant step in enhancing collaboration among defence forces, security agencies and civil authorities. They added that it would improve coordinated responses in national security and disaster management operations.
