MSME Cluster Development Programme shows strong progress in Telangana

Hyderabad: The MSME Cluster Development Programme Telangana is driving industrial growth with several infrastructure and cluster projects across the state.

The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises launched the Micro and Small Enterprises–Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP) to strengthen productivity and competitiveness among small businesses.

The programme supports Common Facility Centers and industrial infrastructure. These facilities help micro and small enterprises improve production and reduce operational costs.

Common Facility Centers in Telangana

Two Common Facility Centers operate under the scheme in Telangana.

The Gold Ornament Cluster in Karimnagar supports the gem and jewellery sector. The project costs ₹580 lakh, including a Government of India grant of ₹446 lakh. Authorities continue work on the project.

Another project is the Rice Mill Cluster in Jagtial district. It supports agro-processing industries. The project costs ₹998 lakh and includes a central grant of ₹798.40 lakh. Work on the facility is ongoing.

Industrial infrastructure projects expanding

The MSME Cluster Development Programme Telangana also funds industrial infrastructure projects across many districts.

Authorities completed industrial estates at Gujularamaram in Ranga Reddy district, the Automotive and Engineering Cluster Park at Toopran in Medak district and an industrial estate at Madikonda in Warangal district.

Several new projects are now under construction. These include flatted factory complexes in Chandanvelly, Jadcherla, Tuniki Bollaram and Dandu Malkapur.

Authorities are also building new industrial estates in Nizamabad, Khammam, Jangaon and Peddapalli districts.

In addition, the government is upgrading industrial parks in Jeedimetla, Cherlapally, Bhongir and Mancherial.

A marketing hub for women entrepreneurs is also coming up at Nandigama.

Scheme supports MSME growth and jobs

The MSME Cluster Development Programme Telangana operates as a demand-driven central scheme. State governments submit proposals based on the needs of existing industrial clusters.

The programme builds modern infrastructure and supports cluster-based industries.

Officials expect the projects to boost employment and strengthen the MSME ecosystem across Telangana.

Minister of State for MSME Shobha Karandlaje shared this information in a written reply in the Lok Sabha.
