Hyderabad: Civil Supplies Commissioner Stephen Ravindra on Tuesday said fuel supply Telangana remained adequate, with petrol and diesel availability exceeding daily demand.
He stated that authorities supplied 29,939 kilolitres of fuel on April 27. This figure was higher than the state’s normal consumption levels. On average, Telangana records a daily demand of 5,883 kilolitres of petrol and 7,348 kilolitres of diesel.
However, supply on the day rose well above these averages. Officials delivered 11,490 kilolitres of petrol and 18,449 kilolitres of diesel, ensuring uninterrupted availability.
Fuel supply Telangana monitored to prevent disruptions
Authorities continued close monitoring through field-level officers. At the same time, they coordinated with petroleum company representatives to maintain steady distribution.
This ongoing review aims to prevent any disruption across districts. Therefore, officials kept track of stock levels and supply chains regularly.
Meanwhile, the commissioner urged consumers not to hoard fuel based on rumours. He said sufficient stock was available across the state.
He also advised the public to avoid panic buying. According to him, such actions could disrupt supply despite adequate availability.
