TGGENCO receives ISO certification for quality management system

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka presented the TGGENCO ISO certification under ISO 9001:2015, recognising the corporation’s quality management systems and operational standards.

The certification followed a detailed audit by an independent ISO body. The audit team examined all departments and operational units of Telangana State Power Generation Corporation. It assessed compliance with documentation, performance standards and operational efficiency. As a result, the organisation secured approval after meeting international benchmarks.

Energy Special Secretary Naveen Mittal supervised the certification process. Meanwhile, TGGENCO Chairman and Managing Director Harish received the certificate on behalf of the organisation. Officials stated that the recognition reflects consistent adherence to structured systems and defined objectives.

The audit also reviewed how departments implemented quality protocols. It further evaluated how effectively the organisation achieved its operational goals. Therefore, the certification confirmed that TGGENCO follows global best practices across its units.

Speaking at the event, the Deputy Chief Minister said the TGGENCO ISO certification highlights the organisation’s commitment to quality services and strong management systems. He added that such recognition strengthens public trust in the power sector.

Officials welcomed the certification and said it would improve efficiency. Moreover, they noted that it increases accountability in service delivery. They also emphasised that the recognition places greater responsibility on the organisation to maintain high standards.

SPDCL Chairman and Managing Director Jitendra V. Patil attended the event. ISO representative Shivayya was also present during the ceremony.

The certification marks a key milestone for TGGENCO. It underlines the organisation’s focus on continuous improvement and structured governance. At the same time, officials said they will work to sustain and enhance performance in line with international standards.
