KTR says many parties come and go amid Kavitha party buzz

Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao said the KTR Kavitha party development was not significant, adding that many political parties come and go in Telangana politics.

He addressed party leaders on Monday and made an indirect reference to the new outfit floated by his sister Kavitha. He said only a few parties sustain themselves for over 25 years. Therefore, he added, there was no need to focus on new entrants.

KTR said the party meeting discussed welfare measures for Singareni workers. He stated that the party passed a resolution thanking various sections of Telangana society. Moreover, he said another resolution recognised those who supported the statehood movement.

He also criticised the Congress government. He described its functioning as ineffective and disorganised. At the same time, he claimed that key welfare initiatives were weakening under the present administration.

KTR Kavitha party remark links to farmer issues

KTR said the KTR Kavitha party discussion came alongside concerns over the agricultural sector. He alleged that farmers faced losses due to poor grain procurement across the state. He also claimed that middlemen had taken control of grain stocks.

According to him, procurement centres were not functioning effectively. Therefore, he said farmers struggled to sell their produce. He added that the party passed a resolution demanding unrestricted procurement.

KTR also referred to the Rythu Bandhu scheme. He said international bodies like the United Nations had appreciated the initiative. However, he alleged that the current government was weakening its implementation.

He further claimed that the government released funds in instalments for publicity. As a result, he said the focus had shifted away from farmer welfare.

KTR warned that the party would launch protests in villages if the situation did not improve. Meanwhile, he reiterated that political survival depends on sustained public support, not the launch of new parties.
