Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka launched and laid foundation stones for Power infrastructure projects worth ₹60.62 crore in Station Ghanpur constituency of Jangaon district on Tuesday.
Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiyam Srihari presided over the programme at Pallagutta village in Chilpur mandal. Warangal MP Kadiyam Kavya, public representatives and district officials attended the event.
The Telangana Northern Power Distribution Company executed the works at a total cost of ₹60.62 crore. Officials said the projects will directly benefit 60,838 consumers across the constituency.
Bhatti Vikramarka inaugurated a 132/33 KV substation at Peechara village in Velair mandal. The government built the facility at a cost of ₹43.92 crore. He also inaugurated 33/11 KV substations at Kondapur, Sagaram and Kurchapalli villages.
Power infrastructure projects to strengthen electricity supply
The Deputy Chief Minister laid foundation stones for three new 33/11 KV substations at Pallagutta, Lingampalli and Nashkal villages. Authorities will build these facilities at an estimated cost of ₹9.66 crore.
Officials said the new substations will improve electricity supply for farmers, households and small industries. As a result, consumers can expect better service reliability and reduced disruptions.
Meanwhile, Bhatti Vikramarka inaugurated a Rythu Seva Kendra stall allotted to self-help group women under the Indira Mahila Shakti scheme. He later lit the ceremonial lamp and formally opened the public meeting.
Officials from several departments, local leaders and residents participated in the programme. Therefore, the Power infrastructure projects are expected to strengthen the electricity network and support future growth in the constituency.
