Textile PLI Scheme attracts ₹12,822 crore investment, 96 companies approved

New Delhi: Centre approved 22 new applicants under the third round of the Textile PLI Scheme. The newly selected companies will invest ₹2,339.14 crore and generate 36,217 jobs across the textile value chain.

The government selected a total of 96 companies under the third round. Together, they committed investments worth ₹12,822.67 crore. These projects are expected to achieve a turnover of ₹58,294.18 crore in notified textile products.

The approved companies cover key sectors including Man-Made Fibre apparel, Man-Made Fibre fabrics and technical textiles. As a result, the initiative aims to strengthen India’s position as a global centre for value-added textile manufacturing.

Textile PLI Scheme strengthens advanced textile segments

The government said the growing participation reflects strong industry confidence in its efforts to promote investment in emerging textile segments. Moreover, the new capacities are expected to build a competitive and self-reliant textile ecosystem.

The scheme supports the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat by encouraging domestic production and improving India’s global competitiveness. It also aims to expand manufacturing opportunities and create more employment across the sector.
