Hyderabad: Adivasi Congress National Chairman Dr. Vikrant Bhuria alleged that the BJP-led Central government had pushed students and unemployed youth into a crisis through repeated examination paper leaks and a lack of employment opportunities.
Speaking at the Chhatron Ki Goonj programme organised by the All India Congress Committee at the Press Club in Somajiguda on Thursday, Bhuria said the future of students across the country was under threat because of anti-people policies.
TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud, Government Whip Dr. Balmoor Venkat and several NEET students attended the event. Leaders released posters and pamphlets of the Chhatron Ki Goonj campaign and announced details of the nationwide programme.
Bhuria accused the Centre of betraying students through recurring paper leak incidents and failing to address the concerns of unemployed youth. He said Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had launched a nationwide movement to amplify the voices of students and young job seekers.
According to Bhuria, the campaign aims to highlight issues affecting education and employment while building pressure on the government to act.
Chhatron Ki Goonj campaign to reach major cities
Bhuria said Congress would organise protest programmes under the Chhatron Ki Goonj banner in major cities across the country. He urged students, youth and other sections of society to participate and raise their concerns.
He stated that Rahul Gandhi was directly interacting with students and unemployed youth to understand their experiences, suggestions and grievances. Moreover, he said these interactions would help shape the party’s campaign on education and employment reforms.
Bhuria also called for reforms in the education system and stronger measures to create employment opportunities. He added that Congress would continue its nationwide protests until the Central government addressed the concerns of students and youth.
The Congress leader appealed to all sections of society to support the movement and join efforts to secure accountability on issues affecting the country’s younger generation.
