Hyderabad: Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy announced a ₹5 lakh Madhusudan death aid after senior journalist Maraboyina Madhusudan died of a sudden cardiac arrest in Miryalguda.
The minister visited the town on Tuesday and paid floral tributes to the deceased. He described Madhusudan as a sincere and committed professional who served both journalism and public service with dedication. He also said the loss had deeply affected colleagues and the media fraternity.
Madhusudan had worked as Deputy Chief Minister’s CPRO. During his career, he built a reputation for handling responsibilities with discipline and integrity. As a result, many leaders and journalists gathered to pay their respects.
The minister expressed condolences to the bereaved family. He also prayed for the departed soul and assured continued support to the family during this period.
Minister hands over Madhusudan death aid to family
As part of the Madhusudan death aid, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy handed over ₹5 lakh as immediate financial assistance. He said the support aimed to help the family cope with the sudden loss. Moreover, he stressed that the government stands with families of those who served the public.
Several leaders attended the programme. Among them were Vemula Veeresham, Bathula Laxma Reddy and Shankar Naik. Senior journalists and local representatives also joined the gathering.
The presence of political leaders and media members reflected the respect Madhusudan earned over the years. Meanwhile, colleagues recalled his professionalism and contribution to public communication.
The minister reiterated that such contributions must be recognised. He added that the government would continue to extend support in deserving cases.
