NSUI demands CBI probe into NEET paper leak issue

Hyderabad: NSUI in-charge and PCC Vice President Faheem demanded a CBI investigation into the NEET paper leak issue during a press conference held at Gandhi Bhavan. He criticised the Centre for its handling of the matter.

He said repeated examination irregularities had damaged student confidence. Moreover, he urged the government to take immediate corrective steps. He insisted that accountability must begin at the top level of the examination authority.

Faheem called for the suspension of the NTA Chairman. In addition, he demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, citing failure to ensure a secure examination system.

NEET paper leak issue and accountability demands

According to Faheem, paper leaks had occurred in 2016, 2021, 2024 and 2026. Therefore, he questioned why authorities had not taken strict responsibility despite multiple incidents.

He alleged that examination security had weakened under the present system. Furthermore, he claimed that similar complaints were reported in several states governed by the BJP, including Bihar, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Uttarakhand.

He urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address the NEET paper leak issue during the “Mann Ki Baat” programme. Consequently, he asked the Prime Minister to directly communicate with students about their concerns.

Faheem also stated that the Centre should ensure transparent action to restore trust in competitive examinations. Meanwhile, he directed NSUI State President Venkata Swamy and other executive members to strengthen organisational activities on student issues.
