Kavitha questions Centre over Telangana issues and Bandi Sanjay row

Hyderabad: Telangana Rakshana Sena president Kavitha criticised the Centre over Telangana issues and questioned its response to allegations linked to Union Minister Bandi Sanjay’s family. She raised concerns during a press interaction in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

She said Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Telangana and spoke about financial discipline. However, she alleged that the Centre extended financial support to Andhra Pradesh during the same period. Moreover, she questioned the minister’s presence on stage with the Prime Minister amid ongoing allegations.

According to Kavitha, the participation of Bandi Sanjay in the programme sent the wrong message to the public. Therefore, she demanded clarity on the issue and sought accountability from authorities.

Telangana issues and reservation demands raised

Kavitha urged the Telangana police to issue lookout notices to prevent the minister’s son from leaving the country. In addition, she demanded the Union Minister resign if allegations against his son were proven. She also called for action against individuals sharing related videos on social media.

Furthermore, she asked police to block such accounts immediately. She argued that online circulation of sensitive content must stop to protect victims.

Kavitha also criticised the Prime Minister for not addressing BC reservation matters during his visit. Consequently, she demanded national project status for the Palamuru–Rangareddy project. She urged Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to formally write to the Centre on the issue.

She said Andhra Pradesh was utilising its water resources effectively. In contrast, she claimed Telangana was facing delays in key projects. Therefore, she announced that her party would propose a Water Commission if voted to power.

Additionally, she demanded inclusion of an OBC column in the caste census. She stated that the party would campaign nationally for 50 percent BC reservations. Meanwhile, she said legal action would be pursued on the Polavaram and Banakacherla projects.

Finally, Kavitha urged the Centre to address national examination paper leak incidents, including NEET, and called for stronger safeguards in recruitment and testing systems.
