No jobs, no right to rule: Dasoju Sravan slams Telangana govt

Hyderabad: BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan Kumar said the state government had no jobs no right to rule if it failed to address rising unemployment. He urged youth to unite under the slogan “Revanth Must Go… Jobs Must Come.”

He made these remarks at an unemployment round table organised by the Telangana Journalists Forum in Hyderabad on Saturday. He stressed that employment is not just a personal need but a national priority that drives economic and social stability.

No jobs no right to rule highlights unemployment concerns

Dasoju said nearly 40 to 45 lakh people remain unemployed in Telangana, with joblessness increasing in urban areas. He accused the government of failing to create jobs, support entrepreneurship, or build skills, which he said pushed many young people into distress.

He alleged that key promises made in the Abhaya Hasta manifesto and Hyderabad Youth Declaration remain unfulfilled. These include filling two lakh vacancies, offering unemployment allowance, and releasing a job calendar. Instead, he claimed that protesting youth faced police action.

Dasoju also questioned official employment data. He said the government’s claim of providing 67,000 jobs in the past two years was misleading. According to him, only about 17,000 posts were newly notified, while earlier recruitment processes began during the tenure of K. Chandrashekar Rao.

He demanded a White Paper detailing department-wise vacancies and future recruitment plans. He further claimed that declining investments and fewer company registrations have weakened job creation in the state.

He added that government employment levels in Telangana remain below the national average. However, he said stronger political will and focused policies could significantly improve opportunities.

Dasoju urged unemployed youth to unite and demand their rights. He warned that the government must prioritise job creation or face public backlash.
