New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said Operation Sindoor marked a decisive shift in India’s response to terrorism, moving beyond diplomatic statements to direct action.
Addressing a national security summit in New Delhi, he stated that the government demonstrated firm resolve through the operation. He said India no longer relied only on rhetoric after terror attacks.
He emphasised that Operation Sindoor reflected the country’s clear policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism. Moreover, he said India targeted perpetrators with precision and halted the mission on its own terms.
Rajnath Singh added that the operation showed strong coordination among the Army, Navy and Air Force. He noted that the tri-service effort proved India’s growing military integration.
He also said terrorism stemmed from a distorted mindset and could not be justified through religion or ideology. Therefore, he stressed that operational, ideological and political aspects must be addressed together.
