Revanth Reddy Delhi visit planned for Metro Phase 2 approvals

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will undertake a Revanth Reddy Delhi visit on Wednesday to seek approvals for Metro Phase 2, officials said.

During the visit, the Chief Minister will meet Union Ministers to push key infrastructure proposals. Moreover, he will discuss welfare initiatives and pending development projects related to Telangana. Officials said these meetings would focus on securing timely clearances.

The visit will also include interactions with senior leaders of the All India Congress Committee. In addition, the Chief Minister is expected to review internal party matters during these discussions. These include cabinet expansion and appointment of nominated posts.

Officials said the primary focus remains Metro Phase 2 approvals. Therefore, the government aims to accelerate the expansion of urban transport infrastructure in Hyderabad.

Sources said the visit may also include discussions on recent political developments. In particular, leaders are likely to review the Congress party’s performance in other states.

Developments related to Kerala politics may come up during the meetings. Moreover, discussions are ongoing regarding leadership roles, with K. C. Venugopal emerging as a key figure.

Officials noted that the Chief Minister maintains close coordination with senior party leadership. As a result, the visit is expected to balance governance priorities with organisational strategy.

The government said such engagements with the Centre remain crucial for securing approvals and advancing major infrastructure projects in the state.
