The company disposed of 4,602 metric tonnes of scrap against a target of 3,300 metric tonnes. This generated revenue of around ₹26.17 crore while supporting more systematic resource use and workplace management. These results highlight the campaign’s focus on cleaner facilities and better utilisation of available space.
SECL Special Campaign exceeds file management targets
SECL also surpassed its targets for reviewing and closing physical and electronic files. The company reviewed 2,100 physical files against a target of 500. It also weeded out 872 physical files, well above the target of 200.
Electronic file management recorded similar progress. SECL reviewed 14,215 e-files against a target of 7,000 and closed 13,708 against a target of 3,000. These efforts aim to reduce pending work, improve record management and strengthen administrative efficiency.
The company has also stepped up electronic waste collection across its establishments. At SECL headquarters in Bilaspur, it installed a dedicated e-waste collection bin for employees to deposit discarded electronic items. Notably, the company fabricated the bin from discarded materials, demonstrating its waste-to-wealth approach.
In Bilaspur’s residential colonies, SECL established e-waste collection booths and conducted door-to-door collection drives. Similar initiatives have also taken place across its operational areas. These measures encourage employees and residents to participate in responsible waste disposal.
Cleanliness drives engage employees and communities
As part of Special Campaign 6, SECL organised cleanliness rallies, voluntary Shramdaan activities, street plays known as Nukkad Nataks, school competitions and awareness programmes. Community participation formed an important part of these efforts.
The campaign also built on activities conducted during Swachhata Hi Seva 2026, held from September 17 to October 2. During that period, SECL cleaned more than 55 Cleanliness Target Units, covering over 10 lakh square feet.
SECL launched the implementation phase of Special Campaign 6 at its Bilaspur headquarters on Gandhi Jayanti, October 2. The launch included a Swachhata Happy Run, plantation activities under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative and a cleanliness pledge.
The campaign runs from October 2 to 31, 2026, with a focus on cleanliness, e-waste management, space optimisation, scrap disposal, record management and reducing pendency. Through these measures, SECL aims to improve workplace conditions, promote responsible waste handling and strengthen good governance across its operations.
