Hyderabad: Kalvakuntla Kavitha outlined Telangana Rakshana Sena plans, detailing welfare measures and a political strategy against the Congress government.
She addressed a press meet at the Press Club in Basheer Bagh. During the interaction, she said the organisation would evolve into a non-governmental platform. Moreover, she stated that it would focus on youth and act as a voice that questions authority.
Kavitha said the group would promote inclusive development across the state. In addition, she announced an outreach programme named Panchajanyam to connect with people. She also promised free medical treatment for the poor, regardless of illness severity.
Welfare and employment agenda under Telangana Rakshana Sena
Kavitha pledged to provide free quality education and healthcare. Furthermore, she said the organisation would create one lakh supernumerary jobs for Telangana movement activists. She added that these measures aim to strengthen social welfare.
She criticised both the central and state governments over paddy procurement. She said farmers faced long delays at procurement centres and some died near grain heaps. Therefore, she assured that such distress would not continue under her leadership.
Kavitha also raised concerns over employment and governance. She said promises remained unfulfilled and criticised the lack of support for persons with disabilities. At the same time, she pointed out missing facilities in the Secretariat.
She criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and alleged dependence on central leadership. Meanwhile, she said issues related to minority welfare, SC and ST sub-plans, and scholarships remained unaddressed.
Kavitha said elections may take place within a shorter timeframe than expected. She added that her group would intensify efforts during this period. She asserted that the organisation aims to challenge the Congress government.
