Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2026 begins at Samvidhan Sadan

New Delhi: The national-level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2026 began at the Central Hall of Samvidhan Sadan in New Delhi. Young representatives from 757 universities and institutions participated in the event and shared their ideas on the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla inaugurated the programme. Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya and Youth Affairs Secretary Pallavi Jain Govil also attended the event.

Addressing the gathering, Birla urged young people to take a leading role in building a developed India by 2047. He described India’s youth as ambitious, innovative and driven by big aspirations.

Birla said the dream of a developed India belongs to all citizens and not to any single institution or government. He added that the energy, leadership and determination of young people would play a crucial role in achieving the national goal.

The Speaker said India’s youth would lead the world in science, technology, research and innovation in the coming years. He also noted that many countries view Indian youth as a source of confidence and future opportunities.

Youth voices shape Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament

Mansukh Mandaviya welcomed the participants and highlighted the role of youth in nation-building. He said the delegates had earned their place through a rigorous selection process.

The Union Minister described Generation Z as a symbol of passion and enthusiasm. He said the country must channel the ideas, talent and energy of young people towards national development.

Mandaviya also told participants that the platform offered them an opportunity to present their views before the Lok Sabha Speaker and contribute to discussions on the future of the nation.

The event brought together selected youth representatives from across the country. They presented suggestions and perspectives on development, governance and India’s long-term growth strategy.
