Hyderabad: The district administration received 54 Prajavani grievances during the Prajavani programme held on Monday at the Integrated District Offices Complex meeting hall.
District Collector C. Narayana Reddy personally heard the grievances submitted by people from various parts of the district. Complainants explained their issues and handed over written petitions to the Collector, seeking immediate relief. The programme aimed to provide a direct platform for citizens to raise problems before senior officials.
Addressing officials during the programme, the Collector directed them to ensure quick and effective disposal of Prajavani grievances. He instructed district-level officers of all departments to resolve petitions without delay. He stressed that officials should not keep applications pending and must review them regularly. According to him, continuous monitoring alone would ensure timely solutions to public problems.
The Collector said the Prajavani programme played a key role in addressing citizen issues at the district level. He added that officials must treat every grievance seriously. He also underlined the need for coordination between departments to resolve complex cases. Officials, he said, should inform petitioners about the action taken on their applications.
Revenue department accounts for half of Prajavani grievances
Out of the total 54 Prajavani grievances received, 27 petitions related to the Revenue Department. The remaining 27 grievances pertained to various other departments in the district. Officials recorded each petition and forwarded them to the concerned departments for necessary action.
The administration categorised the grievances based on departments to ensure faster processing. Revenue-related issues included land matters and related requests. Other departments received petitions on civic services and administrative concerns. The Collector asked officers to follow timelines while disposing of these cases.
Additional Collector (Revenue) Chandra Reddy, District Revenue Officer Sangeetha, and senior district officials from various departments attended the programme. Superintendent-level officers from the Collectorate and other concerned officials also participated. They assisted in registering grievances and clarifying issues raised by the public.
The district administration reiterated its commitment to resolving Prajavani grievances efficiently. Officials stated that they would review the progress of pending petitions on a regular basis. The District Public Relations Officer issued the official note on behalf of the Rangareddy district administration.
