Many people woke from deep sleep as the tremor struck unexpectedly. Consequently, families ran out of their houses in fear and gathered in open spaces. Villagers said they had never experienced such shaking earlier.

CCTV cameras installed inside some houses recorded objects moving during the tremor. Soon after, residents shared the videos on social media, which further heightened anxiety in nearby habitations.

However, officials have not reported any casualties or major structural damage so far. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and assess ground conditions in affected villages.

A few months ago, tremors also hit several districts in the State. At that time, Karimnagar, Mancherial and Adilabad reported mild shaking. Later, officials traced the epicentre to Rebbena in Asifabad district.

Seismology experts advised residents not to panic during mild tremors and to follow basic safety precautions. They urged people to move to open areas and avoid standing near unstable structures if similar incidents occur in the future.
